The Watercolour Workshop began in September 2016.  Most new members have little experience of watercolour painting before they join.  The chief aim of the Workshop, therefore, is to help members learn how to paint.  During meetings we explore different themes and techniques.  The format of the Workshop is flexible and we encourage members to share ideas and welcome suggestions for themes or offers to lead the group to share a particular skill.

Everyone brings their own equipment, paints, paper, brushes and a container for water.  Everyone also participates in setting up tables and "tidying up" after the session.  As a Workshop we enjoy ourselves and, hopefully, have fun learning about watercolour.

We do not always stop painting but there is a kitchen with a kettle and you are welcome to break for refreshment.  However, you need to bring our own mug, also tea/coffee/milk and a snack.

We meet on alternate Tuesdays from 11am until 1.30pm throughout the year.

We meet at the Church Room, Loughton Church.  There is a small annual subscription to cover room hire.

The Workshop is currently full, as we pay an annual subscription, it is unlikely places will become available before the end of 2026.
Please contact us if you wish to be put on the waiting list.
