Recent tutorials have included Improving Composition, Shutter speed, motion blur and freezing action, portrait photography, candlelight photography, triptychs, adding textured backgrounds, creating a slide show with music and basic skills such as cropping, straightening, enhancing the colour.
We introduce new creative ideas to take photos such as low key or high key, composition techniques, taking good street photographs, taking inspiration from famous photographers such as Ansel Adams, Vanda Ralenska and Franco Fontana, macro photography and ICM - Intentional Camera Movement.
We encourage members to participate in giving short photographic presentations of their own images on a unique theme.
Another part of our group’s activities is learning to use editing software either on your computer, phone or tablet to manipulate images to create new styles of photographs.
We use our photographic knowledge out in the field to produce exciting photos. Outdoor visits have included visits to the Wolverton Flood Plains, Delepré Abbey, Ascott House, Rushmere Park, Olney, Hitchin Lavender Farm, MK Museum, Street Photography in Bletchley, Light Trails of Fireworks & Fairgrounds and Stowe Park.
