A lively happy group of line dancers with ages ranging from 60 to 90.
The group meets every Thursday morning, from 10 -12 at West Bletchley Community Centre, Whaddon Way, Bletchley, where there is a large free car park.
Brenda Line, the Group Co-ordinator, makes sure she caters for everyone's dancing abilities, starting the first half of the dancing with easier ones, enabling all the ladies and gents to get up and have a 'go'. We have a lot of fun and our friendly group of 23 enjoy ourselves. Brenda encourages us to learn up to date dances, which prove challenging to say the least!!!
Brenda likes to play a mixture of traditional Country and Western music. We start off in lines, but oops, it just doesn't stay that way for long, but the fun outweighs the staggered lines!
We have a coffee/tea break and biscuits at 11.00am, a good catch up with everyone, and start the second half with a few advanced dances, any one can request a line dance which Brenda will play. This all makes the morning so successful and fun, making new friends and above all, a good sociable way of keeping fit.
Brenda, has taught 133 dances over the seven years of the group’s existence but unfortunately nobody can remember them all!
In common with other groups, tea breaks are an essential part of the sociable sessions.
