This group started meeting in May 2015, and has maintained a membership of up to twelve members, which is the maximum we can comfortably accommodate. Occasionally a place will become available, so do enquire if you would like to visit us. The group is no longer suitable for complete beginners, but rather for those who already have some basic knowledge of the language. We have members who started with us from scratch, others who have joined us since, with some prior knowledge. A recent new member had worked through Duolingo Italian during the Covid lockdowns

We are a relaxed and friendly group, but we do our best to progress, in listening and speaking as well as reading and writing Italian. Our aim is to communicate, and we spend time on grammar as we go along.. We are currently working through a textbook which focuses on Italian art.
